Reports starting coming in around 4:45am of a bright flash of light that suddenly made it look like daytime in and around New Orleans.
Listeners told WWL Radio they saw it from Houma to Hammond and from Harahan to Hattiesburg.

-saw massive green light over Hattiesburg airport
-Saw it in Washington parish.
-I saw the light in the sky south of I-10 in the LaPlace area
-Saw green light north of laurel, Mississippi
-I saw the green streak right over Terrebonne General Hospital this morning.
-I saw the green light in Cocodrie this morning
-I saw the same green light in Kenner
-It was a teal green light that could be seen from the spillway bridge...
