Buc-ee’s is already a big hit at its new location on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Plenty in the region had been waiting quite a while for the gas and snack giant to open, and lines are already long. Speaking to WWL’s Dave Cohen, Arch “Beaver” Aplin (founder of Buc-ees) discussed his decision to open a store in the region.

“We love the Mississippi Gulf Coast. It has I-10 running through it, which is big. So, it just made total sense,” Aplin explained.

Aplin also emphasized that there are other Buc-ee’s locations in Texas and Alabama, so connecting those stores to this new location made sense.

Aplin added that there are plans to add Louisiana along I-10 locations in the future as well. With the number of vacationers and travelers that pass through the area, Aplin is hopeful that Buc-ee’s will be discovered by a new crop of fans.
