
Maersk today raised its full-year forecast as freight rates continue to surge amid tight global supply chains. The Danish shipping giant said it now sees underlying earnings of $37 billion, up from its previous expectation of $30 billion. The company says congestion in global supply chains leading to higher freight rates has continued longer than initially anticipated.
Seems we just can’t get enough chicken sandwiches. Big chains are cooking up new flavors and pushing poultry hard at the register, saying they can often make more profit per order on white meat than beef.
Panera Bread, Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen and other chains have all added new chicken sandwiches to their menus in recent months, while KFC, Wendy’s and Burger King have each spent tens of millions of dollars advertising their chicken sandwiches on national television this year.
