Goldman Sachs says accelerating inflation could cause the Federal Reserve to get even more aggressive than economists expect in the way it raises interest rates this year.
The firm says it’s forecasting hikes in March, June, September and December, but it sees a risk that the Fed will want to take some tightening action at every meeting until the inflation picture changes. The Fed’s policymaking committee begins a two-day meeting tomorrow.
Walmart has unveiled plans for a new e-commerce fulfillment center, this time in Olive Branch, Miss. Walmart says the center, in the Memphis metro area, will open this spring.
The center will be used to store millions of items ordered via Walmart.com to be picked, packed and shipped directly to customers as soon as the next day. Last month, Walmart announced plans to construct similar centers in Salt Lake City and Lebanon, Tenn.
