The kinks that have bedeviled many pandemic-era logistics flows are finally beginning to get ironed out. There’s been an 8% improvement in on-time truckload deliveries since November. The market has steadily increased back to 77% on-time loads in March. By another measure, this February was the highest on-time performance in February for the past three years.
Even as wives increasingly earn the same or more than their husbands, marriages remain unbalanced when it comes to childcare and housework. A new study from the Pew Research Center finds that 45% of women earn the same or more than their spouses, almost triple the share that did so in 1972. But women spend more time on unpaid chores and caregiving, while men have hours of extra time each week to spend on leisure.
Futures are flat after stocks rallied yesterday. The Dow Industrials gained 383, the NASDAQ advanced 237 and the S&P 500 picked up 54.
