For the giants of ocean trade, big ships aren’t enough anymore; they need planes, too. Port congestion and a lack of workers to load and unload ships has slowed deliveries, leading container shipping companies to look elsewhere. Maersk, CMA and Mediterranean Shipping, which have largely shunned airfreight as too expensive, are now racing each other into that market.
You’ve made it through long security lines and flight delays. Now that you’re on the plane, what drives you nuts? A new survey from the Vacationer website finds we’re most annoyed by passengers who kick our seats, or who display drunken or disruptive behavior. Other top peeves include passengers who smell because of poor hygiene, too much cologne or perfume, or who eat smelly foods. Passengers who ignore their kids drive us crazy, as do flyers who hog the armrest or recline their seat fully in front of us.
