Federal regulators have determined that Entergy Corp. owes refunds to ratepayers in Louisiana and Arkansas that could top $500 million, related to the utility's management and operation of the Grand Gulf nuclear plant. The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission issued rulings in a dispute over how Entergy and its System Energy Resources unit set rates for customers in Louisiana, Arkansas and Mississippi to operate the Port Gibson, Miss., plant, which supplies power to all three states.
With airline reliability very much in the news this week, it’s Delta that comes out on top when it comes to on-time arrivals. Aviation analytics company Cirium says Delta’s planes were on time in North America this year 84% of the time. Alaska Airlines placed second, with 81% on-time arrivals. United was third, followed by American and Southwest. WestJet and Air Canada bring up the rear.
Futures are down after stocks rallied yesterday. The Dow Industrials jumped 345, the NASDAQ gained 264 and the S&P 500 added 66.
