Some of the nation’s biggest retailers are rationing over-the-counter emergency contraceptive pills as demand spikes following the Supreme Court ruling overturning a constitutional right to abortion. CVS Health, Walmart and Rite Aid are limiting purchases of the pills.
If you don’t have much on your list for Amazon Prime Day in July, you’ll get another chance. Amazon plans to hold a second shopping event for Prime members sometime in the fall, marking the first time the company will hold two such events in the same year. The first Prime Day will be held July 12 and 13th.
Your July 4th cookout for 10 will cost you about $70. The American Farm Bureau says the average cost per person for cheeseburgers, pork chops, chicken breasts, homemade potato salad, strawberries and ice cream is about $7 per person. The overall cost for 10 is up 17% from a year ago, due to ongoing supply chain disruptions, inflation and the war in Ukraine.
