Business: U.S. importers adjust for labor shortage

U.S. importers are taking steps to adjust their supply chains to get around potential labor disruptions this summer on the West Coast. Shippers are pulling forward orders and some are diverting cargo to Gulf Coast and East Coast ports, ahead of talks between West Coast dockworkers and the companies that manage the flow of goods through the gateways.

The importers are bracing for disruption from contract talks that have proven combative and stalled inbound distribution in years past.


Television's longest-running game show is hitting the road. Called the “Come on Down Tour,” the Price is Right, which has been on the air for 50 years, is making 50 stops coast-to-coast to give fans the opportunity to play games and win prizes.  The tour will kick off Friday in Los Angeles, and will make stops in New Orleans, Denver, Dallas, New York and many other cities.
