There’s a slim chance of the Saints making it to the playoffs and, though on paper it certainly seems feasible, the team will have to get everything right. But, is that possible?
The Saints are set to take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this Sunday in the first two must win games. And, Mike Detilier told Tommy Tucker there’s one simple truth about their opponent at this point in the season.
“The Bucs are a much better football team. They have got it rolling.”
And beating them won’t come easy. The Buccaneers have won five of their last seven games and enter the match up with the Saints on a four-game winning streak.
According to Mike, Tampa Bay will also enter the dome with one other important characteristic.
“Confidence. You can see this Bucs team has that confidence from beating Green Bay and Jacksonville.”
Detilier says that confidence is fueled by the fact that the division seems ripe for their picking.
“They got it all is front of them now. They could win the NFC South for the third straight time.”
As for the Saints season, Mike says too many missed opportunities and a lack of consistency didn’t allow the team to shine as hoped.
“They lost in the trenches. Derek Carr did not play well this year. There’s too much talent and nothing you can really hang your hat on.”
