Eleven people are hospitalized this morning after being rescued from a single family home.
Paramedics say the residents were running a generator inside the home.
Jonathon Fourcade with New Orleans EMS says this illustrates the dangers of not using a generator properly.
This is the latest instance of improperly used generators ending in near tragedy.
On Tuesday, nine people in St. Tammany Parish were hospitalized with Carbon Monoxide Poisoning.
They were using the generator in a garage.
A generator is supposed to be placed outdoors, at least 20-feet away from any standing home, in an open and well ventilated area.
