A crash on the Causeway closed the bridge just before 7:30am today.
"Due to an accident, the Causeway - Southbound is closed at this time," authorities posted.
Traffic quickly backed up as drivers waited to get on the bridge over Lake Pontchartrain.
Crews quickly cleared the crash and got the bridge reopen.
