New Orleans Police are investigating a shooting on the 1400 Block of South Broad Street near the corner of Thalia Street.
Officers were called to a report of an aggravated battery just after noon.
Arriving on scene offers found an adult male victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the foot.
The victim was transported to a local hospital by EMS.
Police have not released any further information on the incident.
