An attempted carjacking in Algiers has the New Orleans Police Department searching for suspects.
According to police, a woman parked her car around 5:30 Wednesday afternoon in front of a business in the 3000-block of Holiday Drive, near the Algiers library. She got out, leaving her 12-year-old son and baby daughter in the car.
Then two men approached the car. One pointed a gun at the boy and demanded he get out. The pre-teen got his sister and got out of the car.
The suspects got in the car and started to flee, but then stopped and fled on foot.
