The historic Carousel Gardens Amusement Park inside New Orleans City Park will reopen just in time for the Fourth of July weekend.
The park will open exclusively to first responders and their families on July 2, from 11 am to 6 pm, before opening to the public on July 3, from 11 am to 6 pm.

First responders will experience the Carousel Gardens Amusement Park a day early, free of charge. Each first responder is allotted four free tickets, for Friday. They will need to register in advance according to a park spokesperson.
Tickets are $25 per person for general public admission on July 3.
“Reopening the beloved Carousel Gardens Amusement Park is a great testament to the work of our team and the support of our community,” said Cara Lambright, City Park CEO. “We are looking forward to thanking our first responders with early access to the Amusement Park and we can’t wait to welcome back visitors of all ages who have missed the rides tremendously over the past year.”
