A woman from Chalmette, La., who owns a cleaning business was arrested Friday after she allegedly stole and spent thousands on credit cards from one of her clients.
According to a Friday Facebook post from the St. Bernard Sheriff’s Office, 40-year-old Kelly Noble was booked with two counts of theft.
Noble is the owner of Clean Vibes Cleaning Service, said police.
Authorities said she stole two credit cards from a client’s home and made unauthorized purchases from two local retailers totaling more than $2,400.
St. Bernard Sheriff James Pohlmann told residents to be mindful of who they let in their homes after Noble was apprehended.
“Always make sure you check people out before you allow them unsupervised access to your home and personal belongings,” he said. “If possible, get recommendations from friends and family, and ask for references. Do your homework.”

Pohlmann also said an investigation into Noble is ongoing.
Anyone who believes they might have also been a victim of theft by Noble should contact the St. Bernard Sheriff’s Office at (504) 271-2501, or the Criminal Investigations Bureau’s tip hotline at (504) 271-TIPS or 8477. Callers can remain anonymous.
