Morning Call is once again serving up sweet beignets and hot Cafe Au Laits, but this time it is at their new location.
In January the local coffee shop lost a bid to renew their lease at their City Park location. Since then a new location was under construction at a new location at 5101 Canal Boulevard amid the New Orleans cemeteries and a major streetcar stop.
Saturday was Morning Call’s soft opening and today it is open for business serving the local pastry and mugs of coffee.
Local Vlogger NolaDeeJ showcased Morning Call’s new location and their iconic beignets.
Morning Call’s reopen ends a two-year hiatus and a return to creating lasting memories as it has in New Orleans for more than 150 years.
“This is a new start, with a lot of familiar faces,” Morning Call co-owner Bob Hennessey, told The Times-Picayune | The New Orleans Advocate. “It’s an exciting time for all of us.”
