House Republican Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.) released the following statement regarding the rescue mission for crew members after a lift boat capsized off of Grand Isle on Tuesday:
"My heart goes out to the families of the crew members who are still missing or tragically lost their life after Tuesday’s capsizing off the Louisiana coast. I’m praying for those who remain missing and hoping for their safe return. The U.S. Coast Guard and crews of the Good Samaritan vessels who responded quickly are true heroes and have been a tremendous help.
I've been in touch with local officials and will continue to monitor the situation."
