A passenger on a Delta Air Lines flight to New Orleans is facing criminal charges after allegedly attacking a flight attendant and himself.
Authorities say they suspect cut his own neck with a sharp object, and then allegedly slashed a flight attendant as the plane arrived at Louis Armstrong International Airport.

The Jefferson Parish sheriff's office says other passengers held 39-year-old Nelson Montgomery until cops could get on the plane and arrest him.
"He grabbed a flight attendant. She suffered two superficial lacerations from the sharp object and was later treated on scene. Montgomery was subdued by several passengers and held until deputies arrived at the aircraft to arrest him," Captain Jason Rivarde said.
