A 14-year-old murder suspect is locked up today for the killing of a member of a well known New Orleans family. Cops late last night told us his mom brought him to the NOPD.
"The juvenile’s mother turned him in at the Fifth District Station. The suspect was transported to the Juvenile Justice Center and booked accordingly," a news release details.
Police previously released a picture of the suspect, asking for the public's help finding him.
"Members of the New Orleans Police Department’s Homicide Section have arrested a 14-year-old male juvenile for Second Degree Murder."
The coroner says 18-year-old Revell Andrews died after the shooting in the 2500 block of St Claude Avenue. He was a tuba player in the well know Andrews musical family. His cousin is Troy Andrews, better know as Trombone Shorty.
