Kenner police today announced the arrest of a 17-year-old suspect for sex crimes against young children.
“On October 28, at 7:15 PM, Kenner Police received an anonymous call in reference to a Hispanic male who was sexually molesting children in a trailer park located in the 700 block of Malinda Court,” Captain Michael Cunningham said in a news release.
He says when officers got there, residents told them that the suspect sexually assaulted a four-year-old and a seven-year-old boy.
“Both juveniles identified Luis Renan Bonilla-Alfaro, seventeen years old, Kenner, as touching them inappropriately and having the juveniles perform sex acts on him.”
Cunningham says cops too Bonilla-Alfaro into custody.
“He confessed to inappropriately touching the juveniles and performing sex acts with them. He also admitted to filming the sex acts with his phone which was seized pursuant to a search warrant by detectives and later searched. Sexually explicit videos were found on Bonilla-Alfaro's phone of him with the juveniles. In addition to those videos, a video of an unidentified third juvenile was found. That juvenile has yet to be identified.”
Detectives are working to investigate and expect to bring more charges.
“Police were able to confirm Bonillo-Alfaro was in the country illegally and an ICE detainer has been placed on him. Luis Renan Bonilla-Alfaro has been charged with First Degree Rape, two counts of Sexual Battery, two counts of Pornography Involving Juveniles and Indecent Behavior with Juveniles.”
