NOPD

New Orleans Police are looking for a pair of people after a gunman robbed a 37-year-old man in the St. Roch neighborhood on the 4th of July.

"The NOPD is asking for the public's assistance in identifying and locating two persons wanted for questioning as persons of interest in an armed robbery," Cops said in a news release. "

On July 4, 2023, at about 3:20 p.m., an unknown male approached the victim in the 1200 block of Spain Street.  The suspect was armed with a gun."

Investigators say the robbery demanded the victim's valuables.

"The suspect then fled in a gold Lexus with the victim's cellphone and wallet."

Now police want to talk to the individuals seen in surveillance video.

"Detectives identified the two pictured subjects (male in blue hat and white shirt, and female in orange shirt and shorts) as persons of interest in this investigation."

Cops say they for now they are not suspects, but are wanted for "questioning only."

They ask that anyone with information about the identity of the two subjects or additional information about the armed robbery contact Fifth District detectives at (504) 658-6050 or Crimestoppers anonymously at (504) 822-1111.
