New Orleans Police say a man is dead after a stabbing this morning.
"The NOPD is investigating a homicide in the 9000 block of Chef Menteur Highway," Senior Public Information Officer Aaron Looney said in a news release. "Initial information shows an adult male having sustained a stab wound(s) has been declared deceased on scene."
It happened near Chef Highway and Old Gentilly Road in New Orleans East.
"Initial notification was received at about 5:00 a.m."
Looney says he had no additional information to release.
