New Orleans Police are looking for a woman who reportedly attacked a man with a hammer near the corner of Charters Street and Marigny Street.
"The male victim was standing at the location when an unknown female approached him asking for a cigarette," according to an initial police report.
Investigators say the woman initially left the scene, but came back.
"Shortly after, she returned to the location, initiating an argument with the male victim before striking him with a hammer."
Authorities say they woman then ran away.
"NOEMS arrived on scene and provided treatment."
It happened Saturday night around 7:30pm.
