The New Orleans Police say a woman walked up to a man in the French Quarter and began to dance with him.
They say during the dance, the suspect took the victim's wallet.
It happened around 1:30am on the sidewalk in the 300 block of North Peters St.
The 39-year-old man says he tried to get his wallet back.
"Victim outside location when suspect started dancing on him and picked victim’s pocket, taking his wallet," according to an initial police report. "Victim and suspect fought over wallet and suspect fled with wallet. Victim's wallet later recovered with cash missing."
