A crash in Metairie has left one person dead and another in the hospital.
It happened around 4 p.m. Friday on North Causeway Boulevard near 20th Street.
According to Sheriff Joe Lopinto, the driver of a sports car lost control of his vehicle while exiting a parking lot, crossed the median, and hit another car headed towards the Causeway Bridge. The sports car is in the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the other vehicle died at the hospital.
The crash remains under investigation.
