Crews have been repelling down and dangling from the sides of the blighted Plaza Tower in Downtown New Orleans this week.
Why?
The governor's Super Bowl infrastructure coordinator, Michael Hecht, says they are inspecting the crumbling structure to make sure they can safely turn the eyesore into an attraction.
"They are making sure the building is safe," he explained.
Once they confirm they can move forward, Hecht says they want to beautify the dilapidated skyscraper.
"We're taking a big ole lemon, and we are making a huge jug of lemonade."
Hecht detailed how he hopes to see that happen.
"It's our intention to wrap, basically, the street level view with promotional material about New Orleans and about New Orleans. On the opposite side there's a massive marble fascia, the biggest in the country actually, we want to cover that with a painting by local artist Becky Fos of a massive pelican."
