New Orleans Police homicide detectives are investigating a fatal shooting in the 1200 block of Monroe Street.
Police say shortly after 6:50 a.m. Saturday, officers were sent to investigate a call of a shooting at that location.
"Second District officers responded to a call of shots fired and upon arrival discovered two adults in the residence suffering from gunshot wounds," said NOPD. "EMS arrived and pronounced both victims, one adult male, and one adult female deceased at the scene."

Callers to Crimestoppers do not have to leave their names and may be eligible for a cash reward for information that leads to an arrest and indictment.
