The NOPD is investigating a double homicide that occurred at the intersection of Curran Road and Benson Street.
Just before 6pm Saturday, NOPD Seventh District officers responded to a call of aggravated battery shooting at the location.
Upon arrival officers found two male victims suffering with a gunshot wound.
First, an 18-year-old male, who was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Second, a 23-year-old male, who was transported by NOEMS to the hospital and later succumbed to his injuries.
Shortly after, detectives learned of a third male victim who arrived at the hospital by private conveyance and is currently undergoing treatment.
The third victim’s identity is unknown at this time.
Investigators are currently in the process of gathering evidence and information to identify the person(s) responsible for this incident, as well as a motive.
