Louisiana State Police says a driver crashed his Camaro into a State Trooper’s patrol car on I-10 at I-610 in the early hours on Sunday.
It happened at about 2:00 a.m. on Sunday as the trooper was working a planned closure of I-610 for Entergy workers.

An LSP report says, “As westbound traffic on I-10 neared Louisa Avenue, an impaired driver caused a three-vehicle crash, one of which being a fully marked State Police unit. Minor injuries were sustained during the crash by all parties involved. Troopers placed the impaired driver under arrest for reckless operation and driving while intoxicated.”
The investigation is ongoing.
