Fentanyl, crack, and bombs: that's what St. Tammany Parish sheriff's deputies say they found during investigations that led to two arrests over the Easter holiday weekend.
Deputies say they arrested Cary Biedenkopf and John Canatella on Friday while conducting follow-ups to previous drug investigations conducted in the Mandeville area.
According to investigators, Biedenkopf had fentanyl, methadone, and pills in his possession when they pulled him over during a traffic stop. Detectives add that they found a semi-automatic pistol in his possession.
Later in the day, investigators raided Canatella's home, finding what they say were five completed bombs and a sixth nearly-completed device inside. Detectives also found meth, pills, and weed while executing the search warrant.
Both men remain in the St. Tammany Parish Jail.
