9am Update:
This morning, members of the New Orleans Police Department are investigating the Homicide of a 45-year-old man.
The name of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of family members.
The offense occurred shortly before 5:00 A.M., in the 4600 block of Rosalia Drive.
According to investigators, Seventh District officers received a call of a man shot and upon their arrival, officers found the victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to his body.
Emergency Medical Technicians were summoned to the scene where they pronounced the victim dead.
No further information is available at this time.
Homicide Detective Daniel Hiatt is in charge of the investigation.

EMS pronounced the man dead on scene.
