Cops say a woman suffered a gunshot wound on Easter Sunday in New Orleans East.
"The NOPD is investigating a shooting at the intersection of Curran Boulevard and Mackenzie Street," Public Information Officer Aaron Looney said. "Initial information shows a female victim with a gunshot wound being transported to a local hospital via EMS."
He sent the notification shortly before 6:00pm.
Police did not release any further details.
"No additional information is currently available."
