The spiking violent crime in New Orleans did not take a holiday for Easter.
"The NOPD is investigating an Aggravated Battery by Shooting that left three people shot in the 1500 block of North Claiborne Avenue," Officer Reese Harper said in an email.
Harper said that shortly before 5:30pm officers heard shots fired in the area.
"Officers then located two men and a woman suffering from apparent gunshot wounds to their bodies. EMS transported the victims to a local hospital to be treated for their injuries."
Harper said that there was no further information available.
