An elderly Gretna woman was carjacked while giving two women a ride to Baton Rouge says the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office.
On Friday, the unidentified elderly woman was giving Tim’ara Courtney, 18, and another unidentified woman a ride from Gretna to Baton Rouge when she was carjacked by the women in Sorrento says the sheriff’s office.
“The victim advised deputies that she was transporting two women, who were family acquaintances, from Gretna to Baton Rouge and was requested to stop at a location in Sorrento. The women then directed the victim to exit the vehicle.
The victim informed deputies that the women began attacking her after she refused to exit,” says an APSO report.
Detectives contacted Baton Rouge Police who located the vehicle along Plank Road in Baton Rouge. After a brief pursuit, officers found the vehicle wrecked and abandoned.
