The Krewe of Endymion will roll mostly on its tradition Mid City route this February, but the krewe today announced a change to the latter part of the route.

The parade will bypass St. Charles Ave. in downtown New Orleans entirely, skipping Gallier Hall and Harmony Circle.

Krewe officials say the size of their floats and the relocation of the Extravaganza to the Morial Convention Center this Mardi Gras will prevent them from rolling on St. Charles.

"Due to renovations at the Superdome for the 2023 and 2024 parade we will hold the Endymion Extravaganza in the Morial Convention Center," the krewe announced in a statement from Dan Kelly. "Unfortunately because of the size of many of the Endymion multi section floats, we will not be able to proceed down St. Charles Avenue and pass Gallier Hall."

Endymion will start at Orleans and City Park as usual, take N. Carrollton from Orleans to Canal, and then will stay on Canal all the way to Tchoupitoulas, where it will turn and head to the convention center.
