The heat is forecast to be even more intense the next several days.
"A heat advisory is in effect Monday," the National Weather Service warned. "Heat index values up to 112 degrees expected."
Experts urge anyone spending time outside to stay hydrated and take frequent breaks.
Then it gets even hotter.

"An Extreme Heat Watch is in effect Tuesday," the NWS added. "Heat index values up to 115 degrees expected, especially around the Lakes and MS Coast."
Actual temperatures could be near the triple digits.
Rain chances are very low.
