Forecasters say the heat index in New Orleans will be in the danger zone again today.
"Extreme heat will continue," WWL TV Meteorologist Payton Malone warned. "An Extreme Heat Warning is in effect."
He says high will be in the mid to upper 90s with it feeling hotter than 110.
The rest of the week should see slightly less intense heat.
"Rain chances will gradually increase through the week, with a few more showers and storms possible each day."
