Parade season is here, and in Jefferson Parish, it kicks off with a free two-day music festival in Metairie.
"It's really a big weekend," said Jefferson Parish President Cynthia Lee Sheng. "Our first weekend in Mardi Gras, always, we have Family Gras."
Friday's performers include Heartbreakers Jukebox, Karen Waldrup, and Herman's Hermits.
On Saturday, Imagination Movers and The Rocketmen get the day started, with headliners including Gin Blossoms, Uncle Kracker, and Lady A wrapping up the two day festival.
