New Orleans Police investigated a traffic fatality Friday evening at the intersection of Morrison and Downman roads that left one driver dead.
Just after 10pm, Seventh District officers responded to a vehicle crash at the location.
Upon further investigation, officers located an unresponsive male outside of a crashed vehicle.
The victim was declared deceased at the scene.
Investigators determined that the victim was operating a pewter Infiniti sedan traveling westbound on Morrison Road when, for unknown reasons, the vehicle left the roadway and struck a utility pole.
As a result of the crash, the victim was ejected from the vehicle and died of his injuries.
