New Orleans Police Department’s Fatality Section are investigating a Hit and Run Traffic Fatality that left a 16-year-old male dead.
The crash occurred shortly before 10:30 P.M., at the intersection of Oliver White Avenue and Benefit Street.
According to officers, around 10:30pm, a Ford F-150 collided with a Hyundai Sonata causing the pick up to flip and crash into the porches of two homes at Oliver White Avenue and Benefit Street.
The 16-year-old thrown from the pick up. They were transported to a local hospital where they later died.
The driver of the Hyundai was seen fleeing from the scene on foot.
Throughout the course of the investigation, investigators determined that both vehicles were stolen.
No other information on the incident is available. The investigation is still underway.
