A man was struck and killed on Chef Menteur Highway overnight in New Orleans East.
New Orleans Police got the call about the incident just after 8pm.
The incident happened on Eastbound off-ramp from I-510 on to Chef Highway.
Arriving officer found the victim in the roadway with critical injuries.
He was declared dead at the scene by EMS.
It was determined that the male victim was walking in the exit lane of Interstate 510 onto Chef Menteur Highway eastbound when a vehicle exiting I-510 onto Chef Menteur Highway struck the victim and continued its travel eastbound.
