Gunfire in Central City sent a woman to the hospital today.
"New Orleans Police are investigating a shooting incident," Sgt. Barry Fletcher said in an email. "Shortly before 8:40 a.m. today (06/30/25) Sixth District officers responded to a report of a shooting,"
It happened in the 2000 block of South Liberty Street.
"On arrival, they found a female suffering from a gunshot wound."
EMS took her to the hospital.
Fletcher did no share details on her injuries nor her condition.
"No further information is currently available."
