
Power outages in the New Orleans metro area numbered just below 161,000 shortly before 7 p.m. Saturday.
The peak outage number after Hurricane Zeta made landfall Wednesday evening was more than 500,000.
Entergy CEO Phillip May said crews have been working around the clock.
“Big chunks of customers are going to be coming on within the next couple of days and I think over the weekend we will see more than half of our customers get restored,” said May.
