Flames erupted overnight at Willie Mae's Scotch House in New Orleans.
The Treme restaurant is renown for it's critically acclaimed fried chicken.
The initial call came it just after 3:00am.
"The fire initiated at an electrical panel and made its way up the wall and into the attic space," Operator Gregory Davis said in a news release.
Willie Mae's was closed Easter Sunday.
NOFD declared the fire under control just before 4:15am.
Davis says 43 NOFD personnel responded.
Owners are assessing the damage, and firefighters are investigating the cause of the blaze.
The restaurant is at 2402 St. Ann Street.
