Fire broke out Saturday night on the big roller coaster at the closed Six Flags amusement park in New Orleans East.
The flames were on the wooden coaster, about 70 feet off the ground, which the New Orleans Fire Department said made it impossible for firefighters to reach.
NOFD also said it posed no danger to the public.
The park, closed nearly 20 years since Hurricane Katrina flooded the area in 2005, is finally in the process of demolition.
