UPDATE: Crews reopened the bridge around 12:04pm.
A vehicle burst into flames on the southbound Causeway shortly after eleven o' clock this morning.
Officials stopped letting drivers on the bridge from the Northshore to the Southshore.
"The bridge is going to be closed for a good while," Causeway General Manager Carlton Dufrechou told WWL First News.
He said everyone was out of the vehicle.
