New Orleans firefighters rescued two dogs from a burning home in the St. Roch neighborhood Wednesday evening.
NOFD got the call shortly before 9:15 p.m. about a burning one-story wood-framed home in the 2400 block of Music Street.
"Upon arrival firefighters were notified that all residents were safe but there were two dogs still inside," Firefighter DeRonta Laugand said in a news release. "NOFD Fire Operations personnel quickly forced entry to search for the dogs, while simultaneously performing an aggressive interior attack on the fire."
Laugand said that firefighters were able to find both dogs, a pit bill and a Yorkie, and safely remove them from the residence.
