
New Orleans Police are investigating a rash of shootings from Saturday morning until early Sunday.
The latest happened shortly before 1:00am.
"An adult male arrived at the hospital with a gunshot wound to his back," Public Information Officer Garry Flot said. "The location of occurrence was Jourdan Road and Old Gentilly Road. No further information is available at this time."
Just after 11pm, Flot notified us of a man showing up at the hospital with a gunshot wound. It was not clear where he was when he was shot.
Just before 7pm a man was shot while in the St. Roch neighborhood.
"At approximately 6:50 pm, a male was shot to the foot in the 2300 block of Mandeville Street. No further information is available at this time."
Just before 1:00 in the afternoon, a man was shot in the 7th Ward.
Flot said in an email, "At approximately 12:50 pm, an adult male arrived at the hospital with a gunshot wound to the body. Detectives determined the location of occurrence was North Rochblave and New Orleans Streets. No further information is available at this time."
He notified up Saturday morning of a shooting near the I-10 / I-610 split.
"The NOPD is currently investigating a shooting of an adult male that occurred at Franklin Ave and Abundance Street. No further information id available at this time."
That was around 9:00am.
