A flash flood warning has been issued as result of a rain-heavy set of storms which rushed across Southeast Louisiana dumping rainfall on the Jazz and Heritage Festival at the New Orleans Fairgrounds.
The high-powered storms triggered the warning around 3:45pm with the warning set to expire around 6:30pm this evening.
Drivers are warned to watch for flooded roadways in low lying areas and to avoid any where water is covering the road.
Upwards of five inches of rain could fall rather quickly or in a heavy downpour lasting a lengthy period of time.
